28 January 2021: Welsh housing group ateb Group is celebrating a full year of 100% compliance certainty, as part of Phase 1 of its digital transformation. Ateb is using Propeller Powered software to manage and extend the reach of compliance monitoring across all key areas.
Ateb Group, which manages a portfolio of 3,000 properties from its Pembrokeshire base, started working with Propeller in May 2019. Initially appointed to focus on gas and electrical servicing compliance, the remit swiftly expanded to cover all key areas of statutory compliance as well as options to monitor weekly fire alarm checks and playground inspections.
Chief Executive Nick Hampshire says: “From day one, Propeller demonstrated they understood our needs and bought into our ateb customer-led DNA. Their style of agile ’get things done’ service delivery was particularly beneficial where we needed to collaboratively design and build robust solutions. Since implementing, Propeller has provided our operational teams with a powerful and expandable system to effectively manage the group’s multiple compliance programme of works. From an assurance perspective, we now have a real time view of compliance outcomes helping us to know we are keeping our customers safe in their homes.”
Importantly, as part of Propeller’s solution, a KPI dashboard provides instant insight not only into the current compliance position but also shows the status across all properties on all days. Any non-compliance in any property is immediately flagged for action.
Such is their confidence in the new system, Ateb’s recently-published 2019/20 annual report includes a full breakdown of scores across all key areas of compliance.
Most recently, Propeller has developed additional functionality for the mobile app for the management of automatic defibrillators. In conjunction with the Welsh Heart Charity, ateb has installed a new automatic defibrillator at its Supported Living complex in Pembroke – available for the local community as well as customers living in ateb homes. Within Propeller’s solution, regular checks on this equipment will ensure that it is ready for use whenever the need arises.
