Propeller Powered provide an integrated Web and Mobile App based Field Management and Compliance solution to property maintenance contractors and housing associations.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Developing, maintaining and supporting the Propeller web application and web services.
• Support specification and estimation of new software projects
• Testing software & mobile applications
• Assisting with onboarding new clients
• Analysing and resolving technical and application problems
• Contributing to the refinement of organisational processes & procedures
• Tracking work tasks/sprints using Asana

Key technical skills and attributes:

• C# with ASP.NET in Visual Studio
• HTML, CSS, Ajax, Javascript, jQuery
• Excellent knowledge of SQL Server/authoring fast SQL queries/sprocs
• Experience using GIT Source Control (or similar)
• Strong understanding of software architecture principles

Candidates should have:

• Strong analysis and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Awareness of secure software development and web standards
• Understanding of GDPR and the security and integrity of customers’ data
• Proactive approach to problem management
• Willingness to research and learn new skills and technologies
• Ability to work well in a team
• A ‘can-do’ attitude

Candidates who have specialisms/experience in any of the below will be given extra consideration:

• Security – experience of developing applications which conform to security guidelines (OWASP, Cyber Essentials)
• SQL Server Database Administration – optimising performance, disaster recovery etc.
• Windows Server maintenance/configuration/optimisation (Powershell, DOS etc)
• UI/UX design
• Android/IOS development to support existing app developers

Salary:
