Propeller Powered provide an integrated Web and Mobile App based Field Management and Compliance solution to property maintenance contractors and housing associations.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Developing, maintaining and supporting the Propeller web application and web services.
- Support specification and estimation of new software projects
- Testing software & mobile applications
- Assisting with onboarding new clients
- Analysing and resolving technical and application problems
- Contributing to the refinement of organisational processes & procedures
- Tracking work tasks/sprints using Asana
Key technical skills and attributes:
- C# with ASP.NET in Visual Studio
- HTML, CSS, Ajax, Javascript, jQuery
- Excellent knowledge of SQL Server/authoring fast SQL queries/sprocs
- Experience using GIT Source Control (or similar)
- Strong understanding of software architecture principles
Candidates should have:
- Strong analysis and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Awareness of secure software development and web standards
- Understanding of GDPR and the security and integrity of customers’ data
- Proactive approach to problem management
- Willingness to research and learn new skills and technologies
- Ability to work well in a team
- A ‘can-do’ attitude
Candidates who have specialisms/experience in any of the below will be given extra consideration:
- Security – experience of developing applications which conform to security guidelines (OWASP, Cyber Essentials)
- SQL Server Database Administration – optimising performance, disaster recovery etc.
- Windows Server maintenance/configuration/optimisation (Powershell, DOS etc)
- UI/UX design
- Android/IOS development to support existing app developers
Salary:
